Unbreakables
by BlayTheNinth
With Unbreakables, server owners set rules that stop chosen blocks from being broken under conditions they define.
What it does
Unbreakables lets a configuration file decide when a block cannot be broken. Rules can be attached to blocks and gated by conditions, and a condition can require the breaker to spend experience or items before the block gives way. A built-in ruleset can also protect generated blocks from being removed. The mod is off for rules by default, so nothing changes until the rules are written.
Server owners and modpack developers are the main audience, since the mod does nothing useful until its rules are configured. Usage examples are described on the wiki. Unbreakables requires Balm on every loader, and Fabric API on Fabric and Shogi as well. It runs on the server with the client optional, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.20 – 26.3. The code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Conditional break rules
Blocks can be made unbreakable under conditions written in the config file, with a rule for each block or group.
Experience and item costs
A rule can require the breaker to pay experience or consume items before a protected block can be removed.
Built-in generated-block ruleset
An optional ruleset protects generated blocks, so they cannot be broken once it is enabled.
Default-off configuration
Rules are not active by default, so a server must enable them deliberately.
Compatibility

Use cases
Protecting shared structures
A server can stop players from breaking landmarks or hub blocks that other players rely on.
Progression gates
Breaking a block can be made to cost experience or items, tying access to progress in a modpack.
Who it’s for: Server owners and modpack developers who want fine control over which blocks players can remove. Players on a server that runs the mod need nothing extra.
How it compares
Unbreakable Anvil is server-side only and covers Fabric, Forge and NeoForge for 1.20 – 26.2, under All rights reserved. Waystones Teleport Pets runs on client and server, is limited to Forge and NeoForge, and spans 1.19.2 – 26.1.2. Spawnstones needs both sides and is available for Fabric and NeoForge 1.21.1 – 26.2 under the MIT License, and it is not open source.

This mod adds configurable rules for controlling whether a block can be broken. Rules allow for granular control through conditions and even modifiers (such as costing xp or items). This mod does not enable any unbreakable rules by default. Modpack developers or server owners must configure the mod, e.g. by enabling…
