Where the data comes from
Every mod page is built from the public Modrinth API. A full parse reads each project, its versions and its declared dependencies, and records the date of the parse as the "Facts verified" date.
Only projects of type "mod" are included. Modpacks, resource packs, shaders and plugins are left out.
Game versions
Game versions are taken from the files each project publishes. Only release versions are listed, using both the classic 1.x numbering and the 26.x scheme. Snapshots and pre-releases are not shown in ranges or in the compatibility matrix; a mod that ships snapshot builds is marked as such in its key facts.
A range such as 1.16.5 – 1.21.1 means the project has files for the first and last version in that span. It does not mean every version in between has a file; the compatibility matrix shows the exact cells.
Loaders and platforms
Mod loaders (Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, Quilt and older loaders such as Rift or LiteLoader) are listed as loaders. Server platforms such as Paper, Spigot or Velocity, and data packs, are shown separately as "Also available for", because they are not mod loaders.
Categories
Categories follow the Modrinth mod categories. Tags outside that list are dropped. Each mod gets one main category, chosen so that broad categories such as Utility do not hide a more specific one such as Storage.
Missing values
When a project does not publish a value, the page shows "Not published". Values are never guessed, and empty optional sections are hidden instead of showing a placeholder.
Facts only
The catalog shows facts only: no scores, no rankings and no usage numbers, and no labels such as "recommended". Lists are ordered by search relevance, update date or name.
Descriptions
The short author quote on a mod page is taken from the project page on Modrinth, cut at 320 characters on a word boundary and attributed to the author. Longer descriptions on mod pages are written for the catalog and are labelled as such.
