NetherPortalFix
by BlayTheNinth
Nether portals in NetherPortalFix return players to the portal they used, so a trip to the Nether no longer lands them in another player's base.
What it does
The mod keeps a record of which portal each player entered when travelling through the Nether. When the player steps back through the same portal from the other side, the mod sends them to the portal they came from, instead of whichever Overworld portal the 8:1 block ratio happens to line up with. The ratio itself is unchanged, so portals still connect the same distances as in vanilla, but they remember their origin.
The mod is built for multiplayer servers where several players build near one another. Only the server needs it, so players join without installing anything, and it works in singleplayer as well. It depends on Balm and Fabric API, and the files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 31 release versions, 1.12.2 – 26.3. The code is not open source, and the project is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Return to the origin portal
A player coming back through a Nether portal arrives at the Overworld portal they originally used.
Vanilla 8:1 ratio kept
Coordinates still scale by eight between the two dimensions, so distances in the Nether stay the same.
Per-player portal tracking
Each player's route through the portals is stored separately, so other players' portals are not affected.
Singleplayer support
The same behavior applies when a single player uses the mod in a local world.

Use cases
Shared server bases
Players who build near each other stop ending up in a neighbour's base after returning from the Nether.
Busy multiplayer hubs
Groups that run frequent Nether trips from a common area keep their own portal entrances.
Who it’s for: Server owners who run multiplayer worlds with several builders, and players who want their Nether return trips to land at their own base.

What the author says
Ever played on a multiplayer server, built near other players and when returning from the Nether, surprisingly found yourself in another player's base? It's because of the 8:1 block ratio between the Nether and the Overworld. It's really weird though that you enter a portal in the overworld, and then when going back…
