Chat Heads puts each sender's player head next to their chat messages, which makes busy chats easier to follow.

What it does

Every chat line gets the small face of the player who sent it. Settings need Cloth Config API, which is optional; without it the mod runs on default settings. On some servers the default sender detection fails, and a heuristic-only detection mode can be selected instead, at the risk of an occasional wrong head.

Chat Heads is client-side only and open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Version 1.3.2 covers 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge, while the Forge build ends at 1.21.1. The author notes it does not work with newer OptiFine versions.

No. Heads are added on the player's own screen.
