With TalkBubbles installed, a chat message from a nearby friend appears in a bubble above that player's head.

What it does

Messages sent in chat are drawn as bubbles over the sender's character, so players close to each other can read them in the world. The mod is client-side only, which means only the client needs it, and it requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API. Files are published for Fabric only, covering 1.19.2 – 26.3, with 1.0.8+26.3 for 26.3 as the latest file. The code is open source under the MIT License.
