Portal Pairing
Portal Pairing shows where a Nether portal will link before the player lights it, so portals connect where the player expects.
What it does
Before a portal is lit with flint and steel, the mod predicts the Nether portal link and reports the destination coordinates. Players can also select two portals with Shift and right-click to check whether they are linked, and Shift with a double right-click marks a portal as unwanted so the player can see how to avoid linking it. Detected portals that conflict with an intended connection are flagged, and a suggested location is offered to pair a portal correctly.
The features work immediately with flint and steel, while the Portal Insight enchantment is needed for the extra information. Portal Insight comes from enchanting tables, librarian villagers and ruined portals. Messages appear only when the player requests them, so chat stays clear for everyone else. The mod runs on the server, so players join without installing it. It is an early beta release published for Fabric and NeoForge, and it is licensed under the MIT License, not open source.
Key features
Link prediction
The destination of a portal is shown before it is lit, based on its layout and the existing portals nearby.
Two-portal check
Shift and right-click on two portals reveals whether they are connected and shows their coordinates.
Conflict detection
Existing portals that would stop an intended connection are reported, along with a suggested location for a correct pair.
Private messages
Portal information is sent only to the player who asked for it, so other players' chat is not filled with messages.

What the author says
Portal Pairing helps you build Nether portals that connect exactly where you expect. Before lighting an unlit portal, use flint and steel to see whether Minecraft will create a new portal in the other dimension or link to an existing one — including its coordinates.
