Better Third Person changes the third-person camera so the player can rotate it a full 360 degrees while moving.

What it does

Players can rotate the camera freely around the character and walk in eight directions without the view turning with the movement. Placing, breaking and using items still works in third person, and the camera stays free while the character moves.

Vehicles such as horses and pigs are supported, along with swimming and elytra flight. Client-side only, it is published for 1.16.4 – 1.21.8 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, and the latest files are version 1.9.0 for 1.21.8 on Fabric and NeoForge and 1.9.0 for 1.20.2 on Forge. The license is All rights reserved, so the mod is not open source, and the author publishes an issue tracker.
