Waystones adds teleport blocks that players activate once and can travel back to, plus scrolls and stones for warping between them.

What it does

A waystone becomes a destination after a player activates it. From then on the player can return to it by walking up to any other waystone and choosing it, or by using a warp scroll or a rechargeable warp stone. Waystones also generate as structures in villages, so a world has some before any are crafted.

The mod fits survival worlds, adventure maps and multiplayer servers, where it can stand in for /warp and /home commands. A waystone marked as global is shared by every player, and a configurable inventory button allows warping without any item.

Installation needs Balm on every loader, and Fabric API on Fabric. Waystones runs on client and server and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 29 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.3, under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Craftable waystones

    Waystones, warp plates and warp scrolls are all craftable, so the network grows with the player's progress.

  2. Waystone-to-waystone travel

    Any activated waystone can be picked as a destination from another waystone, with no command needed.

  3. Global waystones

    A waystone can be marked as global so all players on a server share it, which suits community hubs.

  4. Inventory teleport button

    An optional button in the inventory screen starts a warp without a scroll or stone, and server owners can configure it.

  5. Village structures

    Waystone structures generate in villages, giving players fixed points to activate while exploring.
