BetterEnd

by BetterX

BetterEnd adds new biomes, mobs and a custom End world generator, so players who travel to the End find more than the vanilla islands.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19 – 26.3

What it does

The mod adds more than 24 biomes to the End dimension, with more planned for later releases. Every biome brings a distinct mood, set of materials and creatures, and the sky shows purple nebulas and scattered points of light. Biomes come with custom music by Firel, sounds and effects. A custom End generator reshapes the outer islands, giving them varied shapes, terrain and heights, and adds custom structures to the Central Island. Caves inside the islands hold unique resources.

The content goes beyond biomes: six new mobs, some with biome variations, and many blocks including nine wood types and seven stone types. New items cover food, tools, armor and weapons. Mechanics include Infusion Rituals, anvil-based crafting and an End tool progression. Some integrations add two sub-biomes and new plants for BYG biomes. The generator and many other content areas can be adjusted through configs for blocks, items, mobs and enchants.

The mod is a Fabric mod and needs BCLib, Fabric API and World Weaver. Just Enough Items (JEI) and Mod Menu extend it in optional ways. BetterEnd runs client and server and is published for 1.19 – 26.3 with 19 release versions plus snapshot builds. It is open source under the MIT License.
