Better End Fix
by RedCraft86
Better End Fix changes how the terrain generator interacts with LionfishAPI's biome system in the End dimension, so BetterEnd's islands generate without missing biomes.
What it does
The fix targets a problem that appears only when the custom terrain generator is enabled. With that option on, LionfishAPI's biome source can break BetterEnd's generation and add height variation to the End islands, while the vanilla Minecraft terrain shows no such issue. The mod blocks LionfishAPI's biome system only in the End dimension, because that is where the problems were found, and leaves other dimensions unaffected.
Testing that led to this fix showed that the earlier approach left biomes missing, since they depended on LionfishAPI's biome configuration. Better End Fix instead works through BCLib's Forge biome configs, so BetterEnd can add its biomes and handle generation on its own. The mod requires BetterEnd, and Blueprint and Lionfish-API are optional dependencies.
Better End Fix is open source under the MIT License and is published for Forge only, with a single build for 1.20.1. Players join without it, since only the server has to run the mod. Public links to the source code and the issue tracker are available.
Key features
End dimension biome fix
Blocks LionfishAPI's biome system only in the End dimension, so BetterEnd islands generate with their intended biomes.
Custom terrain generator support
Prevents the height variation on End islands that the custom terrain generator otherwise produces.
BCLib biome configuration
Adds BetterEnd biomes through BCLib's Forge biome configs instead of LionfishAPI's biome configuration.

How it compares
Echovoids is a Forge mod for 1.20.1 that needs both the client and server, and it is not open source under a BSD 2-Clause License. The End Update is also a Forge 1.20.1 mod under the MIT License, but it is not open source and only the server needs it. Better End Fix differs in being server-side only, open source under MIT, and focused on the terrain generator fix in the End dimension.
