Terralith
Terralith swaps Minecraft's default terrain for almost 100 added biomes that use only vanilla blocks, with structures placed across the overhauled landscape.
What it does
Almost 100 added biomes range from realistic landscapes to light fantasy settings. Yellowstone is modeled on the national park of the same name, while Yosemite Cliffs and Shield lean toward realism. Highlands and its variants offer flat ground for building, and Volcanic Peaks and Desert Oases give explorers more varied terrain. Caves are reworked too: the Underground Jungle carries dense foliage and occasional abandoned houses, Infested and Fungal Caves are covered in spiders and fungi, and the Frostfire Caves, a deep counterpart to the deepest underground biome, sit far below the surface.
Only the server needs the mod to be installed, while the client install is optional. Lithostitched is required on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. The custom license is not open source. A data pack edition also exists, but players should not swap between the mod and the data pack, since the two versions differ and switching can damage an existing world. Adding it to an existing world is not recommended, and it cannot be removed from a world once generated.

Reworked caves
Underground Jungle, Infested, Fungal and Frostfire Caves add distinct underground areas below the surface.
Themed structures
Several structures are placed through the overhauled terrain to give exploration a fixed set of landmarks.

How it compares
Snow Under Trees is server-side only and open source under the MIT License, covering all four loaders, so it changes trees rather than biomes. Tectonic is open source under the MIT License and is the companion terrain mod that Terralith works with in its mod version. Biome Replacer is server-side only, open source under the MIT License, so it swaps biomes instead of adding them.

What the author says
Terralith takes Minecraft's 1.18 massive world generation overhaul, and turns it up to eleven. Yellowstone is one of Terralith's staple biomes - a simple and beautiful landscape, based on the real life US National Park. Among the list of realistic biomes are Yosemite Cliffs, Shield, and many more depending on what…
