Simple Clouds Compat is a Forge addon that connects the localized weather system of Simple Clouds to a set of other mods.

What it does

Simple Clouds Compat works as an addon for Simple Clouds, which must be installed alongside it. Its purpose is to let other mods detect the localized weather that Simple Clouds produces, so that effects tied to rain behave correctly in those areas instead of using traditional methods. Supplementaries is an optional dependency that the compatibility layer also covers. The environment is server-side only, so players can join a server running it without installing anything, and the mod is released under the MIT License as open source. Files are published for 1.20.1 only.

  1. Weather detection

    Blocks such as the Weather Detector can read localized weather from Simple Clouds.

  2. Weather-linked effects

    Growth enchantments, the Solar Generator and the Wind Vane respond to localized rain and clouds.

  3. Flammable interactions

    Flammable effects and Flammable Liquid Lumisene are adjusted to account for localized weather.
