BCLib, a library from the BetterX team, supplies shared code that BetterEnd, BetterNether and other BetterX mods build on.
What it does
Block templates cover common types such as plants with seedlings, wood types and signs. Developers can build on these instead of writing each block by hand. The library also offers a simple API for defining biomes, features, structures and related world content.
A SurfaceRule and MaterialRule registry lets other mods and datapacks add rules to a dimension without editing or copying the vanilla rules. BCLib also creates compatibility between Nether and End mods, so biomes from different datapacks and mods can generate in one world. For this and other features it uses its own world type, BetterX.
Installation needs Fabric API and World Weaver. Just Enough Items (JEI) and Mod Menu are optional. BCLib is published for Fabric only, for 1.19 – 26.3, and runs on client and server. The code is open source under the MIT License, and snapshot builds are published alongside the release files.
