Thavma

by alegian

Thavma, a NeoForge magic mod for 1.21.1, is a complete rewrite of a classic arcane mod that lets players manipulate elements and build arcane contraptions.

NeoForgeClient and serverCustom license1.21.1

What it does

Players begin by crafting a basic wand, then right-click a bookcase to obtain a guide book. The book tracks research and reveals new magical equipment and blocks as the player progresses. The theme centers on uncovering ancient knowledge and harnessing primal aspects of nature to run arcane machinery.

Thavma runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Its only required dependencies are Geckolib and Kotlin for Forge, and Curios API, EMI and Just Enough Items (JEI) add optional support. The mod is published for NeoForge on 1.21.1 only, with the latest file, 1.21.1-0.12.4, dated 2025-12-11.

The project is in alpha, and many features are still work in progress. Its author describes the current aim as reaching a feature complete version as soon as possible. The source code is public, but the mod is released under a custom license and is not open source.
