Charm of Undying adds a Charm slot to the player inventory, where a Totem of Undying can be stored and still protect against death.

What it does

A totem placed in the Charm slot grants the same death protection as a totem held in the hand. The totem can be put in the slot directly or moved there by using it in hand. Players no longer have to keep a totem in the hotbar or hold one to stay protected.

The mod requires Curios API on Forge and Trinkets on Fabric and Quilt, and Fabric API on Fabric. Charm of Undying is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 23 game versions, 1.13.2 – 1.21.1, and runs on client and server. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source.
