Spiritmancy
by Cmdpro
Spiritmancy is a Forge and NeoForge magic mod for Minecraft 1.20.1 in which players harvest souls and craft spells from them.
What it does
Players gather souls by harvesting them from enemies killed with special weapons, and study them to gain knowledge, including ancient knowledge. Crafting a spell wand happens at a soulcaster's table, where casting costs souls. Spiritus Libri Spiritus is the starting item, and the Libri serves as a guide through the mod, which is somewhat small in scope.
The mod ends with a soul ritual that spawns a fighting circle around the player. Leaving the circle despawns the soul keeper boss, which has two phases and enters the second after its first health pool reaches zero. Its attacks summon skeletons and zombies that both have fire resistance, teleport the player into a blast of spirit energy that hurts nearby entities, and teleport the player to a random mob arena.
Spiritmancy is released under the MIT License and is published for Forge and NeoForge on 1.20.1, with the latest file, 1.0.7.1, dated 2024-03-17. It is a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Curios API, Geckolib and Modonomicon are required, and Jade and Just Enough Items (JEI) are optional.
