Jade ๐
by Snownee
Jade shows a small overlay with details about the block or entity under the crosshair, continuing the Hwyla idea on 1.16.4 โ 26.3.
What it does
Looking at a block, entity or fluid brings up a panel at the top of the screen with its name, the mod it comes from and extra details. Jade started as a fork of Hwyla for 1.16 and later versions and keeps the same license, Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial Share Alike 4.0, as the original project requires.
Jade works when installed on the client alone, but part of the information needs Jade on the server as well: the contents of storage blocks, the fuel level of a brewing stand or the bees inside a beehive are examples. Neither side strictly requires it.
On Fabric and Quilt it requires Fabric API. Just Enough Items (JEI) is an optional dependency; with it installed, two keys open the recipes and uses of the targeted block.
Key features
Target overlay
A panel names the targeted block, entity or fluid and the mod that adds it, and updates as the crosshair moves.
Server-side details
With Jade on the server too, the panel adds data only the server knows, such as storage contents, brewing fuel or beehive occupants.
Keypad controls
Keypad keys open the configuration screen, toggle the overlay, toggle liquid display and narrate the current target.
Recipe shortcuts
Two keypad keys show the recipes and uses of the targeted block when JEI is installed.
Addon interface
A reworked API lets other mods add their own lines, used by 21 catalog mods including Jade Addons (Fabric) and Jade Addons (Neo/Forge).

How it compares
WTHIT is published for the same four loaders and under the same license, with files for 1.16.2 โ 26.2. Hwyla, the project Jade was forked from, only has Fabric and Forge files for 1.10.2 โ 1.16.5. The One Probe uses the MIT License, is open source and lists its environment as client and server, with files for 1.9 โ 26.2.

What the author says
Jade is the information HUD mod - Hwyla/Waila for modern Minecraft versions. Designed for better user experience and API. Jade can be installed only on the client side. But many features require Jade on the server side. (item storage, brewing stand fuel amount, bees in beehive...)
