For older Sodium versions, the add-on Indium supplies the Fabric Rendering API that mods with advanced rendering effects need.

What it does

Several mods draw blocks through the Fabric Rendering API, which older Sodium versions did not support directly. Indium fills that gap. It is based on Indigo, the reference implementation that ships with Fabric API, and requires Sodium.

According to the author, Indium is not compatible with Sodium 0.6.0 and later, so it is only for setups with older Sodium versions. Files exist for Fabric and Quilt across 19 release versions, with builds covering 1.16.5 – 1.21.1. It runs only on the client and is open source under the Apache License 2.0.
