Borderless Mining
by comp500
Borderless Mining changes the Fullscreen option so Minecraft fills the screen with a borderless window instead of an exclusive mode.
What it does
With the mod, the window stays open when focus moves to another program, which lets a player keep Minecraft on one monitor while working in other applications on a second monitor. Without it, the game minimises as soon as it loses focus. The mod also adds a Borderless Windowed entry to the Video Settings screen, so the effect can be turned off in game, and a configuration menu reachable through Mod Menu.
The mod runs on the client alone. Vanilla servers and modded servers without it work normally, and nothing needs to be installed on the server side. On macOS it is disabled by default, because the window cannot be placed above the menu bar there. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and Quilt across 21 release versions, 1.12 – 1.20.2, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
The project is a fork of Fullscreen Windowed (Borderless) version 1.6.0 for Minecraft 1.12 – 1.12.2, with a fix for a window resizing bug that appears after leaving fullscreen. That bug comes from LWJGL, and the fix was already present in Forge and in the Fullscreen Fix mod, which this fork applies to Fullscreen Windowed (Borderless).
Key features
Borderless fullscreen window
Fullscreen uses a window that covers the monitor, so other programs can be used at the same time.
Focus without minimising
Minecraft stays visible when another window is clicked, instead of minimising when it loses focus.
In-game toggle
A Borderless Windowed option in Video Settings lets a player switch the behaviour off during play.
Configuration menu
Settings are reachable through Mod Menu, with no need to edit files by hand.

How it compares
Borderless Windows Fullscreen is a Forge mod for 1.12.2 that is client-side only, under a custom license and not open source. Cubes Without Borders covers Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.16.5 – 26.2 under the MIT License, and is also client-side only.
