Kiwi is a library of small quality-of-life tools that Snownee's other mods rely on, offering a tooltip for item data, a /kalc calculator and a mute command.

What it does

Kiwi shows item NBT and tags inside tooltips, which helps when checking how a stack is stored. It also adds /kalc, a simple command calculator, and /kiwic quiet, which mutes the current toast notifications and sounds. Players and server owners can switch off the Microsoft telemetry it disables, and experimental world settings warnings can be suppressed.

The library is used as a dependency by 19 other mods, including Snow! Real Magic!, Fast Scrolling, Passable Foliage, Companion and Lychee. Every loader that uses it requires Fabric API. Cloth Config API is optional and lets players change Kiwi's settings in-game instead of editing config files. Either side can run Kiwi, and neither needs it, and it is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 17 release versions, with builds covering 1.18.2 – 26.1.2, under the MIT License as open source.

    Tooltips display the NBT data and tags of an item, which helps when inspecting modded stacks.

    The /kalc command evaluates simple arithmetic typed directly into chat.

    The /kiwic quiet command mutes the toast notifications and sounds currently playing.

  4. Telemetry and warnings

    Microsoft telemetry can be disabled, and the experimental world settings warning can be suppressed, which is off by default.

  5. Resource reload fade

    The fading effect on resource reload or the main menu can be disabled, which is off by default.
