RemoveEnchantmentIncompatibility

by Nikrecs

RemoveEnchantmentIncompatibility lets players combine enchantments that vanilla Minecraft normally keeps apart on the same item, at the enchanting table and the anvil.

FabricForgeNeoForgeServer-side onlyMIT License1.19.2 – 26.3

What it does

Vanilla Minecraft blocks certain enchantments from sharing one item, such as Protection with Blast Protection, Sharpness with Smite, or Infinity with Mending. The mod removes that restriction, so those pairs can sit on the same piece of armor or weapon when they are applied through the enchanting table or an anvil. Enchantments added by other mods are covered as well, since the check runs at the point where enchantments are added.

The mod keeps the game's other limits in place. An item still cannot hold two copies of the same enchantment, and every enchantment must still be valid for the item it is placed on. It is server-side only, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the code is released under the MIT License without being open source.

Key features

  1. Conflicting enchantments together

Protections such as Blast, Fire and Projectile Protection can be stacked on the same armor piece.

  2. Weapon enchantment pairs

Sharpness, Smite and Bane of Arthropods can be combined on a single weapon.

  3. Tool and bow combinations

Enchantments such as Silk Touch with Fortune, or Multishot with Piercing, can be combined on one item.

  4. Unchanged duplicate rule

Two copies of the same enchantment still cannot be placed on one item.

What the author says

Removes enchantment incompatibility. Minecraft normally stops certain enchantments from sharing an item — Protection with Blast Protection, Sharpness with Smite, Infinity with Mending, and more. This mod lifts those restrictions, so any combination of enchantments can live on the same item, both at the enchanting…
