Enchant Enhancemen

by mitama

Enchant Enhancemen lifts the vanilla enchantment level caps, so an anvil can combine enchantments beyond the usual limits.

FabricNeoForgeServer required, client optionalApache License 2.0Open source1.20.1 – 1.21.3

What it does

Enchantments gain new levels on the server side. Anvils can merge enchantments past their vanilla maximums, and enchanted books can carry higher levels. Chests and other loot containers may hold these books. Mobs can also be given armor with high-level enchantments, though that spawn behavior is off unless enabled. The author advises caution with those options.

Weapons, tridents, axes and bows gain enchantments they lack in vanilla. Armor pieces can hold several protection types at once, such as Blast Protection, Projectile Protection and Fire Protection together, and a weapon can carry three damage enchantments. Each change is switched on or off in the configuration screen. Fabric API is required on Fabric, and the mod is published for Fabric and NeoForge under the Apache License 2.0, which makes it open source. Its source code and issue tracker are public. Files cover 1.20.1 – 1.21.3, and the latest builds are 1.1.0 for 1.21.3 on Fabric and 1.1.0 for 1.21.1 on NeoForge, both dated 2026-09-25.

Key features

  1. Higher enchantment caps

Anvils combine enchantments beyond vanilla limits, and enchanted books and loot can carry levels above the default maximum.

  2. Stacked protection types

Armor can hold Blast, Projectile and Fire Protection together, breaking the usual one-type restriction.

  3. Extended weapon and tool enchantments

Tridents take a range of melee and damage enchantments, and axes share the sword enchantment table.

  4. Configurable features

Each change can be switched on or off from the mod's configuration screen, so server owners choose which rules apply.

Questions

Does Enchant Enhancemen need Fabric API?

Yes. Fabric API is required on Fabric. The mod is also published for NeoForge, where the requirement does not apply.

Does the server need the mod, and do players?

The server is required and the client is optional. Players can join a server running the mod without installing it, though they can add it for the configuration screen.

Are the high-level mob armor and loot options safe to enable?

Mob armor with high-level enchantments is off by default and the mod should be used with caution, so server owners should weigh the options before turning them on.
