Damage Engine
by mitama
With Damage Engine installed, combat numbers appear on the HUD, including total damage, a combo counter and a grade for each combat session.
What it does
Damage Engine shows combat information on the HUD: accumulated damage for the current session, a combo counter that counts hits landed in a row, a scrolling history of recent damage values, and a panel for the last entity hit. Floating damage numbers appear in the world above hit targets and projectiles, with separate animations for normal hits, critical hits and kills. Each module can be shown or hidden on its own.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 1.18 – 26.3 and the latest file 1.4.9 for 26.3, dated 2026-10-03. It requires Fabric API. Both the client and the server need it. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.
