Item Highlighter marks newly picked-up items with an animated marker, so a player can spot fresh loot in a busy inventory or on the ground.

What it does

When the player picks up an item, the mod shows an animated marker on that item so it stands out from the rest of the stack or the surrounding items. The marker appears only on newly collected items and is meant to help a player locate fresh loot quickly.

Only the player's game needs the mod, because it runs client-side only and a server does not. The marker's look can be changed with resource packs. The mod requires Fabric API and Iceberg, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 26 release versions covering 1.12.2 – 26.3, under Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial No Derivatives 4.0, which is not open source. Modpack authors may include it.
