Forge Config API Port brings the Forge and NeoForge config systems to other loaders, so one config setup works across Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

What it does

Mods built for several loaders can define their configs once in a shared module with this library. It keeps the original Forge and NeoForge APIs, package names and class names, so existing config code moves over with little or no change. Where a loader already has the chosen config system built in, no extra library is loaded.

It does not let Forge mods run on Fabric and gives no general compatibility between loaders. For players it is a dependency: 394 catalog mods require it, such as Puzzles Lib, Visual Workbench, Open Parties and Claims and Traveler's Backpack. Fabric API is required on Fabric, Mod Menu is optional, and the Mozilla Public License 2.0 makes it open source.
