Command Aliases
by FlashyReese
Command Aliases lets server owners and players replace long commands with short names, and chains several actions behind a single alias.
What it does
An alias gives a frequently used command a name that is simple to recall. Aliases can run one command or a sequence of commands, attach optional messages, and add delays between steps. Actions can also depend on whether the previous step succeeded. Custom commands can take arguments, offer suggestions and print formatted messages, and aliases are written in JSON, JSON5, TOML or YAML.
Server owners decide who may use each alias and which actions it runs for a player on the server. Commands sent through client aliases still follow the server's permissions, so an alias cannot grant more access than the player already has. Command Aliases is open source under the MIT License. It is published for Fabric and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.16.2 – 26.3, and Fabric installations need Fabric API. The optional LuckPerms dependency can be added for permission handling. Either side can run it, and neither needs it.

Use cases
Shortening long commands
A server can give a long teleport or give command a one-word name that players can type quickly.
Scripted sequences
A single alias can run several commands in order, pausing between them, for event setups or resets.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to control which actions each player can trigger, and players who use the same commands often and want shorter names for them.
