Sodium Extra adds option pages to Sodium for animations, particles, sky details, fog and on-screen info such as FPS and coordinates.

What it does

The add-on extends Sodium's video settings with controls that the base mod leaves out on purpose. Animation settings switch fire, water, lava and block animations; particle settings cover every particle type, including those from other mods; detail settings handle the sky, sun, moon and weather; render settings control fog and static entities.

An extra page can show FPS and coordinates on screen and hide toasts or clouds. Sodium is required. Greenlight, Iris Shaders and Reese's Sodium Options are optional. Sodium Extra runs on the client only and is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.

  1. Animation toggles

    Fire, water, lava and block animations can each be turned off separately.

  2. Particle control

    Each particle type can be disabled, including particles that other mods add.

  3. Sky and weather details

    Sun, moon, sky and weather rendering each have their own switches.

  4. On-screen info

    FPS and coordinates can be shown on the HUD, and toast notifications can be hidden.
