What it does

ModernFix collects many separate improvements. It speeds up the game's launch and reduces random concurrency crashes during loading, backports bug fixes from newer game or Forge versions, and patches mods that are no longer maintained on a given version. Extra debug tools help track down rare crashes and freezes.

An optional, off-by-default feature rebuilds the model loading system, which can let large packs run with far less allocated memory. ModernFix is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. Files exist for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 17 release versions.

NeoForge reaches 26.1.2 with 5.27.24. Forge and Fabric files currently target 1.20.1.

No. It is off by default because of compatibility issues and has to be enabled in the config.
