CICADA is a Fabric library that bundles general utilities and shared abstractions for other mod projects, and it is used as a dependency by several catalog mods.
What it does
Logging utilities let mods exchange messages through the game log, using a small api for inter-mod conversation, alongside a set of other logging helpers. Player rendering can be drawn without a loaded world, which is useful for menus or previews outside a running game. A GSON based config template class handles self-managed settings for a mod, and an abstract mixin plugin helps write compatibility mixins that apply only when another mod is present.
Fabric API is a required dependency and must be installed alongside CICADA. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. Files target Fabric only, 1.16 – 26.3 with 40 release versions, and the latest Fabric file is 0.15.3+26.3 for 26.3. The code is released under the MIT License and is open source, with a public source repository and issue tracker.
