Omni-Hopper
by enjarai
With Omni-Hopper, items and fluids can move in any direction, since the hopper can be placed facing any side of a block.
What it does
The Omni-Hopper is a variant of the vanilla hopper that can be placed in any orientation, taking items from any side and inserting them into any other side. Crafting one takes a regular hopper and a single copper ingot. Placement follows a simple rule: the input side faces the player who placed it, and the output side faces the block it was placed against. The mod also adds Floppers, a fluid-moving hopper variant that is crafted by swapping the iron for copper and the chest for a bucket, and that picks up fluids from the world on its input side when possible.
The mod adds a basic alternative to the vanilla hopper that moves at half speed and holds a single inventory slot, but costs only 5 planks and a chest to craft. Its redstone behavior is not reacted to, so it runs regardless of signals. Every custom hopper type has its own omnidirectional variant, and a simple dropper-like block drops inserted items onto the ground in any direction. Omni-Hopper is open source under the MIT License and requires CICADA and Fabric API. It runs on Fabric for 26.1.2 and on 18 release versions 1.18.2 – 26.1.2, and it runs on client and server.

What the author says
This is a variant of vanilla hoppers that can be placed in any orientation, sucking from and inserting into any side. It can be crafted by combining a regular hopper with a copper ingot. Placing an omni-hopper can be confusing at first, but it's actually quite simple. The "sucky bit" (input) will always face towards…
