[Obsolete] SwitchyKit
by Octal
[Obsolete] SwitchyKit is a Quilt server-side tool for importing system data from PluralKit and TupperBox into the Switchy addon ecosystem.
What it does
The mod serves as a set of server commands that register a PluralKit token server, clear a stored token, and import member data from the PluralKit API or from PluralKit and TupperBox export JSON files. Tokens are only handed out to servers the owner trusts, and a token can be cleared again when it is no longer needed. Importing is meant to be used alongside the Switchy addon that supports these sources.
Because it runs only on the server, players join without installing anything, and the server needs Quilt Kotlin Libraries, Quilted Fabric API (QFAPI) or Quilt Standard Libraries (QSL), and Switchy installed beside it. Files target Quilt for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1, with builds also published for 1.19.3, 1.19.4 and 1.20. The code is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and it has been marked obsolete, so newer work is directed elsewhere.
Key features
PluralKit token server
A command registers a PluralKit token server so the mod can reach the PluralKit API.
Trusted token servers only
Tokens are given out only to token servers the server owner has chosen to trust.
Token clearing
A command clears the stored token server, removing access once it is no longer wanted.
PluralKit API import
Member data can be pulled directly from the PluralKit API into the Switchy setup.
Compatibility

Use cases
Moving from PluralKit
A server running Switchy can bring over an existing PluralKit system through the API or an export file.
Moving from TupperBox
Members exported from TupperBox as JSON can be imported into the same setup.
Who it’s for: Server owners who already run the Switchy addon and want to migrate systems from PluralKit or TupperBox. Players on the server need no installation.
How it compares
Switchy Proxy is a Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt server mod for 1.18.2 – 1.21.1, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and it expects a server install with an optional client. PolyHopper is a Quilt, server-side only mod for 1.19.2 – 1.20.2 under the Apache License 2.0, a different tool that does not handle system imports. SwitchyKit is limited to Quilt for 1.19.2 – 1.20.1 and only imports data, so it covers a narrower job than Switchy Proxy.
