[Obsolete] Switchy Proxy
Switchy Proxy, an obsolete server-side mod by sleepingdragoninn, lets a player's chat messages swap to a nickname preset whenever the message matches a chosen pattern.
What it does
Per-message nickname swapping works in the style of PluralKit: a player defines a pattern, and any chat line that matches it is sent under the nickname preset tied to that pattern. Typing a message with the pattern is enough, with no separate command needed for each line. The feature was added in version 3.5 of the author's earlier builds, and the mod is now marked obsolete.
Switchy Proxy depends on Switchy, Styled Chat and Fabric API, and the author notes name Connector FFAPI for Forge. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files covering 1.18.2 – 1.21.1 and the latest Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt builds dated 2024-11-08. Only the server needs it; players join without installing anything. The code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and the source and issue tracker are public.
