Server owners who want their chat to look different can restyle it with Styled Chat, a Fabric and Quilt mod that runs on the server alone.

What it does

The mod lets a server owner change how chat messages are shown. It supports the modern text formatting features that Minecraft provides but that many chat mods and plugins leave unused. Placeholder API is supported, so any mod that uses placeholders can feed values into the chat format. Styles can differ per player through permissions from supported permission sources. Styled Chat is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and it is published for 1.17 – 26.3 with snapshot builds included.
