Stamina For Tweakers
by Funk Planet
Stamina For Tweakers gives players an exhaustion meter that drains from running, mining blocks and using a shield, with nearly every rate adjustable in the config.
What it does
Stamina drains according to what the player is doing: sprinting, breaking blocks and raising a shield each use a separate rate. The rates can be tuned individually, so a server owner can make one activity cost almost nothing while another becomes a real constraint. A breathing or panting sound can play when the player is winded, and it can be turned off for players who find it distracting.
The mod depends on Cardinal Components API, Cloth Config API and Fabric API on Fabric, and on Cloth Config API on Forge and NeoForge. Mod Menu is optional and adds a config screen on Fabric. Stamina For Tweakers runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with the source code and an issue tracker public. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1.
Key features
Per-activity depletion rates
Running, mining and shield use each have their own drain rate, set separately in the configuration.
Winded sound
An optional panting sound plays when stamina runs low, and it can be disabled.
Broad config options
Most stamina behavior can be adjusted, from how fast the meter drains to how it recovers.
Client and server sync
Stamina settings are applied on the server, so every player on a server follows the same rules.

Use cases
Survival pacing
Server owners can make stamina a light cost for travel while keeping mining and blocking more demanding.
Hardcore challenge
Stricter rates turn exhaustion into a real limit on long sessions of mining or combat.
Who it’s for: Players who want stamina to be a noticeable part of survival, and server owners who want to tune it for their community.
How it compares
Immersive Stamina is open source under the MIT License and runs on client and server for Forge and NeoForge, covering 1.20.1 – 1.21.1. StaminaZ is also open source under the MIT License and client and server, but only for Fabric, across the same range. Endurance bar is a client-side only Fabric and NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11 and is not open source, so players install it alone.

What the author says
There are a lot of stamina mods. None of them worked quite the way I wanted. So I made this one. If it doesn't work the way you want, chances are that you can reconfigure it until it does.
