Spellbound Enchantments

by TigerOfTroy

Spellbound Enchantments adds a large set of new enchantments for weapons, tools, armor and tridents, grouped into damage, utility and protection types.

FabricClient and serverCC0 1.0 UniversalOpen source1.16.1 – 1.20.1

What it does

The mod introduces enchantments in two groups of 48 and 32 entries, covering a kit of 8 weapons, 9 armor pieces, 6 tools and 9 more items. Several enchantments are built around combat effects: one knocks targets skyward so the attacker's own momentum is turned against them, another pins a target in place and drags the player toward it, and a jousting enchantment scales weapon damage with the velocity of the attacker relative to the target.

Enchantments are split by what they apply to. Some attach to melee and projectile weapons, some to tridents only, and some to chest armor. Compatibility rules differ from one enchantment to the next, so some stack with other damage enchantments and some exclude them. The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it depends on Cloth Config API and Fabric API. Enchanted ToolTips and Mod Menu are optional.

The license is CC0 1.0 Universal, and the mod is open source, with public source code and an issue tracker. Files are published for Fabric only, across game versions 1.16.1 – 1.20.1 in ten release versions, with 1.20.3 for 1.20.1 as the latest file, dated 2025-03-14.

Key features

  1. Damage enchantments

Rampage grants a short burst of effects after each kill, and Trophy Collector increases power as the wielder makes kills.

  2. Crowd control

Tethering binds a target to the weapon, pinning it in place while the wielder drags it along.

  3. Area effects

Cave-In targets blocks struck by a projectile, and higher levels increase the affected area.

  4. Launching and teleport

Launching flings a target skyward, and Impersonal teleports the user behind an enemy.

  5. Utility on armor

Attractive draws nearby entities toward the wearer, and Flesh Wound lets the user keep fighting after a grievous injury.
