BattleCards
by TigerOfTroy
BattleCards adds a trading card game to Minecraft, with combat-ready cards, booster packs and decks that players build and use in fights.
What it does
Players find booster packs in the world, open them, and collect trading cards that can be used in combat or as utility. Packs can be ripped apart for their cards, and the cards can fuel furnaces or be given as offerings. Preconstructed decks are also found while exploring and by killing mobs, so a player can start fighting before building a collection.
Decks are built by hand from favorite cards, and sleeves can be applied to enhance a card with greater damage or status effects at a lower cost. The mod ships with 118 cards, 6 booster packs and 2 preconstructed decks, plus a set of card sleeves. Additional content comes from expansion packs made by the author and by others, and a datapack can add new cards, card packs and prebuilt decks.
BattleCards is published for Fabric on 1.20.1 only and runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It requires Cloth Config API and Fabric API. The code is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, and the latest Fabric file is 0.7.0 for 1.20.1, released 2026-04-03.
