Respawning Shulkers
by Serilum
Players who farm shulker shells can keep using one spot, because Respawning Shulkers brings each shulker back at its death location after a set delay.
What it does
A shulker that dies is scheduled to appear again at the place it fell, not at its original spawn. The default delay is 1200 ticks, which is 60 seconds, and the config accepts values from 1 to 72000 ticks. Once a server or a singleplayer save closes, all queued respawns fire immediately rather than continuing to wait.
Shulkers that come from a mob spawner are skipped by default and do not return after dying. A config option turns that exception off, so spawner shulkers respawn too. The mod keeps the shulker's teleporting behavior, so the farm stays harder than a fixed spawn point while remaining repeatable.
The mod depends on Collective, which must be installed next to it. It is server-side only, so players join without installing anything and only the server needs the mod. It is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 29 release versions, 1.16.5 – 26.3, under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Source code and the issue tracker are public.
Key features
Timed respawns
A shulker returns at its death location after the configured number of ticks, 60 seconds by default.
Immediate processing on shutdown
Pending respawns are handled as soon as the server or singleplayer world closes, so no shell timers carry over.
Spawner exception
Shulkers from mob spawners are excluded from respawning by default, and a setting can include them.
Retained teleporting
Shulkers still teleport after taking damage, so a farm needs some effort to keep running.

Use cases
Stationary shell farms
A player can stay in one place and collect shulker shells without searching for new spawns after the first trip.
Who it’s for: Server owners and players who run shulker shell farms in survival worlds, where shulker boxes are hard to find once the initial spawns are used up.

What the author says
Respawning Shulkers is a mod which makes the process of farming shulker boxes sustainable. Shulkers can quickly become difficult to find in a world, because of the usefulness of shulker boxes. Normally you'd have to find new shulker spawns after your first farming trip, or create an intricate farm to duplicate…
