Starter Kit
by Serilum
Starter Kit, a server mod by Serilum, hands configurable gear to any person entering a world for the first time.
What it does
Starter Kit gives newcomers items from a config file, which can be placed in any inventory slot, in the offhand or in the armour slots. The mod tracks which people have never entered a world, and this tracking also works in existing worlds. Potion and mob effects can be saved with a kit and handed out to new arrivals.
Items that other mods add at join time, such as guide books, can be removed entirely or added after the kit is set, depending on the addExistingItemsAfterKitSet option. Support for FTB's Team Islands mod is optional and applies after the create island command. The server needs the mod, while the client is optional: players who want the Choose Kit GUI must also install it on the client, and otherwise they choose kits through server commands.
