Random Item Speedrun
by BizCub
With Random Item Speedrun installed, a player presses Y to open the run start screen and picks a randomly selected item to collect as fast as possible.
What it does
The mod gives a speedrun challenge built around one item at a time. Each run assigns a randomly selected item, and the player must find it. Items in the normal set do not require entering the Nether or the End, so a run can start in the overworld, while the hard setting moves them further out. A difficulty level can be chosen in the mod settings, and the hardcore level takes the same item set and makes every item take longer to obtain.
The start screen lists previous runs and their details. Tapping a run shows more information, and the item name and elapsed time appear in a corner of the screen during play. A key binding in the settings can start or stop the game without opening the mod screen, and pressing it changes the game status instantly. The HUD parameters can be adjusted in the mod settings.
Since version 2.0 the mod can run on a server, so several players take part in the same run at once. The name of the player who finds an item is saved in the run list. The mod needs Fabric API and is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt. Players add it to their own game, and a server needs no copy. Builds cover 1.20 – 26.3.
