Cuisine Delight

by LightLand

Cuisine Delight lets players cook a dish from any mix of ingredients in a skillet, with a bonus for balanced meals, and it needs Farmer's Delight to run.

ForgeNeoForgeClient and serverGNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 onlyOpen source1.19.2 – 1.21.1

What it does

Players add ingredients to a skillet by right-clicking it with food, then stir with a spatula to keep one side from burning. Two gauges track each ingredient separately: one shows how far it has cooked, the other how much it has burnt. Ingredients that take longer to cook should go in first, and stirring often keeps the dish even. A plate collects the finished dish, which gains an extra saturation bonus when it is cooked well.

The skillet is crafted from the Farmer's Delight skillet. Fire Aspect allows cooking without a stove by placing the skillet in the offhand, and Efficiency raises the number of items the skillet holds at once, up to six at Efficiency V. Adding carbohydrates, meat, vegetables and seafood together gives a bonus for each type present, so the mod rewards balanced recipes. Farmer's Delight is required. Alex's Mobs, End's Delight, Miner's Delight, Nether's Delight, Ocean's Delight and Twilight's Flavor & Delight are optional and add extra content when installed.

Cuisine Delight is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files exist for Forge and NeoForge, with builds for 1.19.2, 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1. The mod is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Any-ingredient cooking

Any combination of food items can be added to one skillet, and each ingredient is tracked on its own.

  2. Two-gauge cooking

A cooked gauge and a burn gauge show each ingredient's state, so the player can adjust timing.

  3. Stirring with a spatula

Stirring spreads heat across the dish and reduces burning on a single side.

  4. Balanced meal bonus

Each food type added, such as carbs, meat, vegetables or seafood, gives a saturation bonus.
