Cobbleloots: Loot Balls and More!
by Ripio
Cobbleloots adds loot balls and other ways to obtain items to Cobblemon, following the item-finding habits of the original Pokémon games.
What it does
Loot balls are the central object. Opening one can grant experience and items, and a ball that is still in the world can serve as a decorative entity in survival. Once a ball has no uses left, it can be destroyed and drops a decorative item instead; this behavior is set in the config. Balls are sorted into four tiers, Common, Uncommon, Rare and Ultra Rare, and the tier decides how rare and how valuable the contents are.
Ten classic valuable items from Pokémon are included as trade goods, rewards or tokens for a server economy. Each has a 16x16 pixel-art texture and a tooltip that mentions collectors and shops paying high prices. Hidden Items, invisible objects scattered through the world, are also part of the mod, and some objects may turn out to be Pokémon disguised as ordinary blocks. The mod needs Cobblemon and Fabric API, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and NeoForge for 1.21.1 and 1.20.1.

Shared reward balls
A server can set a ball so all players can open it, giving every player the same loot source.
Map decoration
Mapmakers can place balls as decorative entities in adventure maps and survival builds.
Who it’s for: Cobblemon players who want more item sources than the base game offers, server operators who run an economy, and mapmakers who place rewards in their worlds.
How it compares
Cobblemon: Simple Ball Swap is a Fabric and NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 under the MIT License, and it runs on client and server. Catch Indicator [Cobblemon Addon] is client-side only for 1.21.1, under All rights reserved, so players need it and the server does not. Cobbleloots itself is open source under the MIT License, and both sides need it.
