Simple Config Lib is a library that lets Minecraft mod developers describe settings as an ordinary Java class and get a settings screen built from it.
What it does
A developer describes a configuration with a plain Java class, and the library builds an in-game settings screen from that description without extra interface code. It also takes care of saving and loading the values, so the developer does not need to write file handling. The stated aim is one predictable result across the supported platforms, so the same settings behaviour is meant to hold on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
Other mods that depend on the library rely on it to present their settings, and players often receive it only as a side effect of installing one of them. Players who only add mods that use it do not need to configure it separately. Fabric requires Fabric API alongside the library, while Forge and NeoForge need no extra dependencies beyond the library itself.
