Lootify

by fzzyhmstrs

Lootify is a library for adding custom drops to loot tables already present in the game, leaving the original entries intact.

FabricQuiltServer-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source1.19 – 1.20.1

What it does

Custom drops are defined in loot table JSON files written in the same format as Minecraft's own loot tables, so the added entries sit alongside the base table rather than overwriting it. Existing loot pools can be extended, and the mod can also remove or modify entries that are already present. Custom functions and conditions allow more nuanced drops, and a visual loot table builder helps datapack authors put the files together.

Lootify works with loot viewers such as EMI, which list the added drops as normal loot. In multiplayer worlds, only the server needs the mod installed. It requires Fabric API and runs on Fabric and Quilt. Files are published for 1.19 – 1.20.1 and are released under the MIT License, so the source code is open source. The Forge port is planned for a later time, and features may change while development continues.

Key features

  1. Added loot pools

Drops are added to existing loot tables through a standard loot table file, so the new entries appear in game without replacing the originals.

  2. Modify existing pools

Entries already present in a loot pool can be removed or changed, which lets datapacks adjust vanilla and modded drops.

  3. Custom functions and conditions

Functions and conditions can be attached to added drops, allowing drop rules that depend on context.

  4. Visual loot table builder

A builder tool assists datapack creators in making loot table files without writing every entry by hand.
