Fzzy Core is a library API for Fabric and Quilt that supplies utilities used by other mods from fzzyhmstrs, including the framework for the Modifier System.
What it does
The API covers several areas of mod development. It has a config system that handles version changes and syncs server settings to joining clients, helpers for item and tool creation with flavor text, a base class for enchantments that can be switched on or off through config, and a wrapper for Text that reduces conflicts across game versions. It also adds a persistent effect system for delayed or repeating events, a client-side particle system placed at points in a player's view, and helper methods for locating objects and working with NBT data.
The Modifier Framework is a parallel to vanilla enchanting. Modifiers can be removed and carry their own behavior, and the library includes helpers that display them with gold text in tooltips. A modifier can be a simple container for vanilla AttributeModifiers or a complex effect. Fzzy Core requires Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, and it is published for Fabric and Quilt across 8 release versions, 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, under the MIT License. The code is open source, with public source and issue tracker links.
