Amethyst Core is a library for building magic-themed mods, and it is the base that Amethyst Imbuement and related mods are built on.
What it does
The library provides building blocks for magic content: a modifier system that works as a parallel alternative to Minecraft's enchantment system, a wand that can hold any number of abilities, and modular trinkets. Modifiers can be a simple container for vanilla attribute modifiers or a complex effect, and the built-in AugmentModifier can change mana cost, cooldown, spell damage or range, or apply effects to nearby mobs after a spell is cast.
Other helpers cover configuration that stays consistent and syncs automatically, custom item model registration in the style of the trident, a ticking event registry, loot table additions, particles that follow the player, and persistent timed effects. Amethyst Core requires Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin, Fzzy Config and Fzzy Core, and it is published for Fabric and Quilt for 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, with 1.20.1 as the latest file. It runs on client and server, and it is open source under the MIT License.
