Kilt
by BluSpring
Kilt, a Fabric mod, lets (Neo)Forge mods load in the Fabric ecosystem, and it is still very experimental.
What it does
Kilt prepares Forge mods for Fabric by converting their code to Fabric's naming scheme before loading it. After that it applies its own fixers so the converted mods behave correctly in the Fabric environment. Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin are required, and Mod Menu is optional. The mod is listed for Fabric only, with builds for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 and 21.1.15 for 1.21.1 as the latest file.
Kilt is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only. Either side can run it, and neither needs it. It is incompatible with Async and Embeddium. Six catalog mods require it, including Kilt-ForgeConfigAPIPort-Fix, VS: Collision damage, Refined Netherite, eesa and Weave. Its development began on 29 December 2022, before Connector's development started on 26 May 2023.
Key features
Forge mod loading
Forge mods are remapped and adjusted so they can run on a Fabric installation without a Forge loader.
Fixer passes
Kilt applies its own fixers after remapping to repair behavior that differs between Forge and Fabric.
Bundled libraries
ModMenu Badges Lib and Porting Lib are included inside the mod, so they need no separate install.
Public source
The source code, issue tracker and wiki are published for anyone who wants to read or report problems.

A Fabric mod that brings (Neo)Forge mods into the Fabric ecosystem. Very experimental. If you encounter any bugs or crashes, do not report them to the mod developers unless they also occur on Forge. Instead, report them onto the Kilt issue tracker, if a similar issue does not exist.
