InstantQuit
by Cukkoo
Players who quit a world on a Fabric, Forge or NeoForge client often wait through the save screen, and InstantQuit returns them to the title screen at once.
What it does
InstantQuit skips the vanilla saving screen that appears after clicking Save and Quit to Title. The player is returned to the title screen immediately, while the world finishes saving in the background. A world that is still saving stays locked, so the world list cannot be opened until the save completes, which protects the data. A save time display shows how long the save took, for example 1.2s, and a toast notification appears when saving finishes.
The mod is configurable through a config file. With Cloth Config API installed, an in-game config screen opens from the Mods list, and Mod Menu provides the access point to it. Both are optional, and the mod works without them. Fabric API is required on every loader it is published for, and the mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 26.1, 26.1.1 and 26.1.2, with 1.0.0 for 26.1.2 as the latest file on each loader. It is released under the MIT License and is open source.
Key features
Instant return to title
Clicking Save and Quit to Title returns the player to the title screen without showing the saving screen.
Background saving
The world is written in the background, and the world list stays locked until that save is complete.
Save time display
A readout shows how long the last save took, for example 1.2s, so the duration can be checked.
Completion toast
A toast notification appears when the background save finishes, so the player knows when it is done.
Configurable options
A config file controls the behavior, and an in-game Cloth Config screen can be reached from the Mods list through Mod Menu.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Requirements
Dependencies declared by the latest file for each loader.
Required 1
Optional 2
Use cases
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric, Forge or NeoForge who spend time on the title screen between sessions. Only the client needs it, so servers run without it.
How it compares
FastQuit-Forge is an open source, client-side only option for Forge and NeoForge across 1.12 – 1.21.4, released under the MIT License. FastQuit is also open source and client-side only, released under the MIT License, for Fabric and Quilt across 1.17 – 26.3. Abort is client-side only for Fabric, open source under the MIT License, and covers just 1.21.11, so it targets a single version. InstantQuit covers 26.1 – 26.1.2 on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, which the others do not all match.

When you click "Save and Quit to Title", vanilla Minecraft shows a saving screen and blocks you until the world is fully saved. InstantQuit skips that screen entirely — you're back at the title screen immediately while your world saves in…
