Inventory Trash Can
by Cukkoo
Inventory Trash Can adds a trash button to the survival inventory screen, letting players delete unwanted stacks without dropping them into the world.
What it does
Clicking the trash slot removes the item held on the cursor, and holding Shift while clicking deletes every stack that matches it in the inventory, once. An undo option lets a player click with an empty cursor to bring back the last stack that was trashed. Matching items can be highlighted so they stand out before deletion, and a built-in counter shows how many of each item remain.
The mod is a lightweight quality-of-life addition that keeps the inventory tidy while leaving vanilla behaviour in place. Fabric API is required on Fabric. The environment is client and server, so both the server and every player need it, and the button position can be moved to another corner of the inventory screen. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 18 release versions, 1.20 – 26.1.2, under the MIT License and is not open source.

How it compares
Inventive Inventory is client-side only and open source under the MIT License, covering 1.20.1 – 26.3 on Fabric and NeoForge. Inventory Trash Can needs both sides, so servers and players must both run it, and it is not open source.
