Falling gravel that drops into a mining shaft is cleared automatically once the block beneath it is broken, so a column of gravel no longer buries the tunnel.

What it does

When a block is broken, any gravel stacked above it is broken at the same moment, so a dropped column does not bury the tunnel. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 30 release versions, 1.18 – 26.3, and runs on the server while clients may leave it out. It requires Balm on every loader and Fabric API on Fabric. The code is not open source and the files are under All rights reserved.

Key features

  1. Instant gravel removal

    Breaking the block below falling gravel removes the gravel instantly, with no extra action from the player.

  2. Chain breaking

    Each gravel block above the broken one is removed in turn, so a stack of any height clears in one pass.

  3. Mining without interruption

    Tunnels stay open while the miner works downward, since the falling blocks never settle into the passage.
