Golem Magicka
by LightLand
With Golem Magicka installed, ModularGolems golems can cast spells from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, and several new golem materials raise their mana and casting strength.
What it does
Golems built with the ModularGolems mod gain access to spells from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks. Each golem has a mana pool and a mana regeneration rate that depend on its material: a regular golem holds 100 mana and regenerates it fully in about 50 seconds, while gold and netherite humanoid golems hold 200 and 300 mana. Sculk and pyrium humanoid golems add their own spell power bonuses, and the pyrium variant holds 900 mana with a 20% cooldown reduction.
Dog golems with a max mana bonus can transfer mana to their riders, which covers both humanoid golems and players. Some spells are banned by the mod. A command wand, pointed at a golem, shows its mana, spell cooldowns and any spells that are not valid for it. Golem Magicka requires Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, L2 Library and Modular Golems, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only. Files exist for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1 on Forge and NeoForge.
Key features
Mana-based golem casting
Golems carry a mana pool and regenerate it at a rate set by their material, so casting costs are limited by stored energy.
Material tiers
Gold, netherite, sculk and pyrium humanoid golems each raise max mana, regeneration or spell power over the regular golem.
Mana transfer from dog golems
Dog golems with a max mana bonus pass mana to their riders, a humanoid golem or a player.
Spell restrictions and inspection
Some spells are banned, and a command wand shows a golem's mana, spell cooldowns and invalid spells when pointed at it.

Use cases
Spellcasting golem builds
Players who already run ModularGolems can give their golems spells from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks and pick a material that fits the casting they want.
Checking a golem's state
The command wand lets a player read a golem's current mana and cooldowns, which helps when a spell does not fire.
Who it’s for: Players who combine ModularGolems with Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks on Forge or NeoForge, and who want golems that cast spells with a mana limit.
